Pennsylvania Trip - 10/09/05 / centralia_05

Just down the road from this area of burning sands, there was a cemetary. The graveyard was well kept, with the grounds mowed and a nice fence surrounding it. Still, we could see part of the cemetary from the hot spot. With jokes of 'toxic zombies' aside, it was very sad. The fire could burn for over a hundred years, and who knows how much of the land it will touch. It may encrouch on the neighboring town of Ashland, and someday those graves may all be need to move.
